Clare's work focuses on a close friend of hers named Rachel. It is a sensitive and intimate project, based on Rachel's somewhat troubled past and unfortunate childhood. Clare captures her friend in a way that portrays her feelings towards her upbringing and the way it as shaped her into the young woman she is today. The photographs show vulnerability, resentment but also reflection. The close relationship between Clare and her friend, allows the series to have depth and allows a personal and very real view into this young woman's life.
