Brogan’s practice revolves around portraiture and experimenting with the medium, a lot of the work she creates is based on the aesthetics of the face. She explores the way in which working with different mediums and lighting can portray what she sees when looking through the ground glass of her medium format camera. Brogan works on a life size or larger scale, often experimenting with liquid emulsion to create texture and a real feel to the images, in this particular project she is experimenting with printing on layers of glass to create a 3D aspect to the work, again in order to make a more real photograph.
